Alain Tardif
Senior Controller
Alain’s fast track through the world of accounting can be attributed to his focus and dedication – two traits that in earlier years were channeled into his competitive hockey career.
Alain began his career in 1996 when he joined Ernst & Young as a Junior Auditor. In 2004, he left Ernst & Young as a Senior Manager to become Controller of Quake Technologies, Inc and later Applied Micro Circuits Corporation (AMCC), two semi-conductor companies. While with Quake, he played a key role in the sale of the company to AMCC.
“Champions aren't made in the gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them – a desire, a dream, a vision.”
- Muhammad Ali
Alain is a Chartered Accountant (CA), a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Several years ago, Alain played competitive hockey with the Victoriaville Tigres (Quebec Major Junior Hockey League) for four years and with the University of Ottawa Gee Gees for two. Alain still enjoys playing hockey and he is kept busy by coaching his daughter and two sons in hockey, baseball and soccer.
