Andrew Waitman, CEO
Andrew leads a team of exceptional people to remarkable, consistent, and respected growth by ensuring a balance is achieved between Pythian’s three core constituents – employees, clients and shareholders.
Andrew’s business journey has included database design, telephony troubleshooting, investment banking, venture capital, Board stewardship and angel investing. Throughout his career, his enthusiasm for entrepreneurs and championing of new ideas has endeared him to many successful startups.
From 1996 to 2008 Andrew was the Managing Partner of Celtic House Venture Partners. Under his stewardship, one Fund produced one of the world’s top 10 best venture fund returns ever. Prior to joining Celtic House, he was a technology analyst for a boutique securities firm (now Dundee Securities), a financial analyst at Citibank and a telephony expert at Bell Northern Research.
Andrew currently sits on the boards of Fidus Systems and the Advisory Board of Genesys Capital. He has also sat on the boards of a dozen companies that have been acquired, including Third Brigade (acquired by Trend Micro), DNA13 (acquired by CNW Group), eBillMe (acquired by Western Union) and FastLane Technologies (acquired by Quest Software).
Andrew is a Charted Financial Analyst and a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario.
