Few DBAs are as well equppied as Alex to handle any kind of database scenario. He brings to The Pythian Group strong analytical skills and over 10 years of experience with Oracle technologies. He has special expertise in high-availability, RAC, and performance monitoring.

In his work before joining The Pythian Group, Alex developed and administered Oracle databases and applications for LUKOIL, the Russian petrochemicals giant. He later oversaw high-availability mission-critical applications for Amadeus, the leading Global Distribution System and biggest processor of travel bookings in the world.

Alex is also a respected figure in the Oracle world, frequently presenting at international conferences, and regularly publishing articles on The Pythian Group's weblog.

Alex holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Nizhegorodsky State Technical University.
