Prior to joining The Pythian Group as Executive Advisor, Robert Sandor served as Canadian Trade Commissioner for over three decades. He gave strategic, tactical, and practical operational advice to private sector decision-makers in Rio de Janeiro, Jakarta, New York, Bonn, and Pretoria.

His leadership positions in Ottawa enhanced his comprehension of corporate stakeholder challenges, including risk management, supply chain logistics, corporate IT security, and client-investor relationship enhancement. His teams negotiated agreements and restructured operations in the Trade Commissioner Service that fostered mutual business co-operation in the Middle East, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

His own consulting company worked with clients in the communications, agriculture, transportation, medical, defence, energy, security, and finance sectors. His most recent projects involved national cyber security in the private sector, as well as, bilateral industrial security until the recent appointment of Executive Advisor.

Robert is a graduate of the University of Windsor (Honours Economics and Political Science) with Post Graduate Study at Carleton University in International Finance. He has lectured at the Canadian National Defence College on the subject of International Defence Procurement and Supply Chain Logistics.
