The Pythian Group welcomed Sheeri Cabral, a leading member of the MySQL DBA community, to its ranks in 2007. She soon rose to Team Lead, and now heads up our Boston, USA office.

Sheeri's record of successes includes database administration for DB security firm Guardium, and for Online Buddies, where she managed the databases for an extremely high-demand web application. Her mastery of database tuning and monitoring is an enormous advantage for any client.

Sheeri also brings a great deal of systems administration acumen to all of her work, having handled large heterogeneous networks with several varieties of Unix, Linux, Microsoft Windows, and Apple Macintosh systems for Tufts University.

A prolific and recognized blogger, Sheeri now shares her knowledge with the DBA community at large on the Pythian Group Blog.

Sheeri holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science (Specialization in Databases) from Brandeis University. She is a MySQL Certified™ DBA, and was MySQL's Community Advocate, Communicator, and Facilitator of the Year for 2007 and 2008.
