Sylvain is an expert in all aspects of Oracle technology, including Oracle Applications, Application Server (AS10g, 9iAS) architecture, best practices, installs/upgrades, performance tuning, security, and regular maintenance. He also excels at organization and documentation.

Sylvain's talents elevated him to the position of Team Lead within one year of his joining Pythian. His team comprises leading experts in the major RDBMSs, applications, and SAP.

Before coming to Pythian, Sylvain spent eight years working for Oracle as an Oracle Apps consultant. He was the key applications DBA on a massive Oracle Applications deployment in the US for a leading pharmaceutical company.

Sylvain was Oracle Canada's Consultant of the Year 2000.
