… research the comments on online book stores and don’t limit yourself to your regional web sites. This is an example of the very detailed comment that might influence your decision to buy. You, obviously, need to pay attention how credible the author is. Of course, never forget that whatever is printed (in the books as well as in the comments) is not necessarily true and check everything yourself.

    Alex,

It looks like Amazon have removed that review, which is a shame.

It makes it very difficult to trust the reviews on Amazon sometimes.

    Hey Doug,

I was afraid that Amazon could indeed delete very negative comments but it seems that it’s still there. I have changed the link to point to the comment section directly.

Just in case it gets removed and there is another one in the first place, the comment I refer to is Jonathan Lewis’ response based on Chapter 14 that’s available online.

    Thanks for your feedback, mate.

Mmmm, I heard from a reliable source that it had disappeared, but it seems to be back now (maybe between our comments?)

Either way, I’m glad it’s there and that you’ve linked to it.

    Cheers

Maybe someone from Amazon is reading our blog and did “flashback” comment?
