Oracle has licensed the Xythos Drive from Xythos Software to improve integration between the Windows Desktop and Oracle Server products, specifically Oracle Files 10g and Oracle Portal.
Oracle and Zend Technologies have partnered to create Zend Core for Oracle, a supported free download offering tight integration between the Oracle Database and Zend’s PHP environment.
Months after its recent hostile takoever of PeopleSoft, Oracle claims it is ready to go after another large company should the opportunity arise. Oracle has completed its first phase of work finishing PeopleSoft projects that were underway before the companies merged. Oracle delivered version 8.9 of PeopleSoft Enterprise Performance Management Wednesday, which is one of the projects Oracle had promised as part of Project Fusion.
Scheduled for release in 2006, Oracle’s E-Business Suite-12.0 is one of the company’s most closely guarded secrets, but so far no one is is talking. Much is unknown about the product, but it is expected that E-Business Suite 12.0 will contain the key elements that will eventually be used in Project Fusion, due in 2008.
