Oracle CFO Leaves Company to Helm Consulting Firm

Posted in: Technical Track

Oracle’s Chief Financial Officer Harry You is leaving the company after just 8 months to become the CEO at BearingPoint, a business services and consulting firm. Oracle’s co-president Safra Catz will step in as interim CFO until a permanent replacement can be found. Prior to joining Oracle, You had served as CFO at Accenture and held financial management positions at several brokerage firms.

The timing of You’s departure may prove interesting as Oracle attempts to smoothe the edges of the PeopleSoft acquisition while entering a bidding war for Retek.
