Oracle Sets TPC-C World Record for 32-Processor System

Oracle announced today that they have set a world record TPC-C benchmark result for a 32-processor system at 1,601,784 million tpmC (transactions per minute). This places Oracle in the Top Ten TPC-C by Performance Category and signifies the best 32-processor system performance result.

According to Richard Sarwal, Oracle’s VP of Server Performance, “Reaching the 1.6 million transactions per minute mark is a remarkable accomplishment, further showcasing Oracle Database 10g’s superior performance for high-end enterprise IT systems.
