MAbbey’s musings and thoughts about Sunday at COLLABORATE13
As per many previous IOUG/OAUG/Quest shows, Pythian is will be in Denver next week! It was a sunny day in the fall of 1991 when I gave my first paper at International Oracle User Week (IOUW), a pre-cursor to COLLABORATE and a few earlier incarnations called IOUG-Live and IOUG-Alive! It has been a whirlwind of…
For only $299 you can access Virtual IOUG Collaborate 13 individually or setup a conference room at your company for the whole team. There will be two tracks broadcasted so if you have demand for both tracks, it make sense to purchase two access passes and setup two tracks broadcasted in parallel in your office so that members of your team can choose individually what to attend.
Spring is a very active conference season for me. I might be going to half a dozen conferences in 3-4 months. That’s a lot of travel but I look forward to all them. The conference I’m probably looking forward the most this year is IOUG Collaborate.
Once again, Pythian is organizing an event that by now may be considered a tradition: The MySQL community dinner at Pedro’s! This dinner is open to all MySQL community members as many of you will be in town for the MySQL Conference that week.
If you’re like me and are a DBA in the UK with a penchant for MySQL or Oracle, you’ll know we have a smörgåsbord of conferences here next week. We’ve been waiting, and like buses two have come at once. We have the UK Oracle User Group Conference 2012, in Birmingham on 3rd – 5th December 2012, and the Percona Live London MySQL Conference running on 3rd – 4th December. Pythian will be speaking at both events.
I always followed all Oracle OpenWorld happenings through blogs, but this is the first OpenWorld that I physically attended. The blog post from Michael Abbey on tips for OOW first timers was a godsend for me. This helped me to navigate OOW like a pro. This is what I checked out..
Pythian remained active in the core orbit of Oracle Open World 2012. Its presenters, bloggers, tweeters, managers, marketing, and rest of the people rocked the stage and backstage. This blog post shares some moments from this year’s Oracle’s mega blockbuster conference.
If you are into the social media and a database professional, you are sure to know that Pythian is really passionate about the bloggers of database technology. Pythian has been carrying the torch of Bloggers Meetup tradition at the Oracle Open World, and has done it again this year in San Francisco’s Jillian opposite the Moscone West.
With mesmerizing Oracle Asia Pacific reception and ACE reception in bag from day one, day two not only brought knowledge-packed sessions but also unstoppable praises for the team Pythian from customers, bloggers, speakers, Oracle professionals and general audience.
