		<description>Yes, it looks as if it's always the case. That's why you cannot have 2 diskgroups mounted in separate ASM instances at the same time if both instances are on the same server. Note also that from my tests, even with that, you still have to use the _asmsid parameter to specify an ASM instance you want to use if you have several on the same server and a database cannot use diskgroups from different ASM instances. Note also that there is a limit when you remove a disk from a diskgroup that should be fixed with 11.2 (see note 402526.1)</description>

Btw, I think mounted diskgroups are stored somewhere in CSSD context. This is why it's required before starting ASM. It's still the case with 11g. Isn't it? I recall I could mount two diskgroups in different ASM instances and database instances couldn't find which ASM instance has diskgroup mounted. Doesn't CSSD provides that?</description>
