		<description>An alternative to awk is `perl -pe ...`. It&#039;s sometimes a bit less convenient (eg. one needs to manually add split() if needed), but it makes it possible to re-use one&#039;s Perl knowledge.

Another very useful Perl feature is `perl -i.bak -pe ...`</description>
