Pythian sponsors first Google DevFest Montreal 2019

Pythian would like to announce Diamond sponsorship of the first cloud and machine learning (ML) DevFest in Montreal, September 27th, at École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS). More details can be found on the website: https://devfest.cloud-montreal.ca/. DevFests are large-scale community-driven events organized by local Google Developer Groups (GCG), sponsored by Google and interested companies. GDG DevFest offers speaker sessions across multiple Google Cloud topics such as data, AI/ML, security, Kubernetes and others. This event consists of a whole day of hackathons, codelabs, presentations and study jams. The organizers have an open CFP on popular open-source and cloud-native projects such Kubernetes, Istio, Knative, Tensorflow, OpenSensus, Grafeas, Spinnaker, Terraform, Vault and many more. Want to speak at DevFest? As a Diamond sponsor, Pythian brings cloud experts, such as Stephane Frechette, to speak about Cloud Data Fusion and Microsoft SQL Server High Availability over Kubernetes. Cloud Data Fusion is a managed cloud-native enterprise data integration service for quickly and easily building and managing data pipelines using drag and drop components through a graphical user interface. In addition, I am organizing the Machine Learning Cloud Study Jam, TensorFlow on GCP, for the day of the event. TensorFlow is an open-source software library for high performance numerical computation that is great for writing machine learning models to run on a variety of devices. The study jam will take you beyond the basics of using predefined models and will teach you how to build, train and deploy your own on GCP. In general, DevFest presentations are highly technical and will explore use cases, journeys, or demos focused on helping developers to use cloud platforms. Attendees include both absolute beginners and those with years of experience adopting cloud-native solutions. Pythian will have a booth at the expo, where you will have the opportunity to talk to our experts and learn more about our services.
