Faced with an impending regional trust merger handling 1.5 million annual patient visits alongside expensive, end-of-support legacy reporting platforms, UHSussex needed a scalable cloud architecture to reduce operating costs and unify regional data. Pythian synchronized deployment schedules with a third-party Oracle EBS Cloud vendor, exporting on-premises databases to Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW), mapping Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) workflows, refactoring Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), and deploying Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS). Upgrading Autonomous Data Warehouse to Oracle Database 23ai eliminated tedious routine maintenance, guaranteeing uninterrupted patient care during the transition and putting instant, AI-powered medical insights directly into clinicians' hands across all merged hospitals.
They had previously been supporting Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals with our on-premises versions of OBIEE & Hyperion. An experienced and knowledgeable provider was required to help us convert these applications to the latest cloud versions while the merger of two trusts, Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals and Western Sussex Hospitals took place. The merger also involved upgrading to one financial general ledger on Oracle EBS Cloud 12.2 which was undertaken by a third party.”
