The Pythian in-house Security Team is focused on ensuring security across the company—in our product, services, and infrastructure, as well as in all operations. The team also oversees risk management and compliance. Company executives are directly involved in overseeing security strategy. All Pythian employees complete mandatory quarterly security awareness training on a wide range of privacy and security topics.
Pythian services are provided by technology consultants who actively work on customer systems and are supported by our Technology team, Security team, Project Management team and our Sales team. Our team is geographically diverse and spread across the world to help us deliver 24/7 services without relying on overnight shifts. Our headquarters is based in Ottawa, Canada. All Pythian team members are hired following a standardized process that requires competency interviews, background screening and onboarding training.
Pythian’s managed services are delivered using public cloud services across multiple availability zones. Our infrastructure takes advantage of redundant and scalable virtualized server and storage services as well as cloud native database and backup services provided by Cloud Services.
Pythian manages our data in compliance with all relevant privacy legislation such as GDPR and CCPA. We describe the customer data we collect and process in each Services Contract we maintain with active customers. Pythian has procedures to complete data owner requests to update or delete data and we have tools implemented to help us track data access.
Pythian completes continuous vulnerability scans on its environment using industry standard commercial tooling. Vulnerabilities are classified based on our Vulnerability Management policy and remediation of all vulnerabilities are addressed. Additionally Pythian conducts an annual independent penetration test that includes scanning of systems for vulnerabilities.
Pythian promotes transparency and provides a channel for external security researchers to identify potential security concerns.
