Pythian executed a multi-stage database modernization strategy by upgrading the customer environment from on-premises Oracle 11g to 12cR2, then to 19c, before migrating core workloads to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Exadata Cloud Service (ExaCS). We then advanced the infrastructure across hardware generations from ExaCS X7 to X8, and ultimately to the high-capacity X9M platform to ensure long-term software and performance alignment.

Ongoing DBA support freed internal bandwidth and kept the new cloud environment running at peak performance.

Pythian deployed Database Managed Services to deliver 24/7 administration across all infrastructure layers. We reclaimed internal IT bandwidth by offloading cloud region replication, database cloning, and systematic SQL performance tuning.
